          FIFA 14

Print

FIFA14 print advert and describe how it promotes the game.- This has the release data making the buyers aware on when to buy it. The billboard says "see the next generation of FIFA" this suggests that it is better then the other FIFA's as a result promoting it making the game stand out. The print also states the time it is going to come out getting their fans excited, allowing their fan to spread the coming out date making more people aware of the new release (word of mouth). The print advert contains a 'hashtagg' which is relevant to their target audience, and allows them to spread it through social networking sites.

What key conventions of print adverts can you find on the FIFA ad? Product name? Font? Slogan? Central image? Colour?- The print advert contains a central image which is of messi which is thought of as one of the best players and worth just about £331 million, which is allot more than other players. The print advert also contains the slogan which is "see the next generation of FIFA" the font also varies and gets bigger as it gets to the product name "FIFA". The print has the publisher and the developer in the other corner making it look familiar. the colours are white and grey the same colours of the cover of the game FIFA14.

Find three reviews for FIFA14 that were originally published in videogame magazines. Are they positive or negative about the game? Copy and paste one quote from each review

  • "FIFA 14 rocks!!!!! Its the best football game till date. Much more realistic features, improved gameplay than FIFA 13.Awesome game play" This one is positive it purely talks about how goo the music video is.
  • "This is the best version so far, but also the less innovative. It feels like EA Sports is absolutely focused on next gen consoles, so there are few additions here." This one is also positive but states what they think 'EA' can improve.
  • "FIFA 14 is the worst FIFA of the franchise, the headed goals overpowered transform the game in a garbage" This one is a really objective comment against FIFA's development and false advertisement.

Why are magazine reviews effective in promoting the game to FIFA14's target audience?- FIFA14 is promoted in most teenage boy magazine and they dedicated a whole page to it. Its also has twitter and Facebook pages making them available to their target audience. The more people talk about the more people know about it, therefore spreading the word about the game.

In your opinion, is print or e-media more effective in reaching the FIFA14 target audience?- Print is really effective in meeting their target audience because it creates more awareness to teenagers, whereas e-media requires search.
